What is the public realm? When ASPECT Studios was employed to review Stonnington’s Open Space Strategy and to provide a future vision for public space. It became obvious that this is now only one player in the broader and interconnected public realm, particularly for a dense inner urban environment.

What emerged was a comprehensive review and correlation of all of Council’s strategies and plans that affect the public realm, including all those that applied to public open space, streetscapes, urban links, shared pathways, private public open space, community facilities, street tree planting, maintenance, public safety, demographics and future recreation patterns.

The final document includes a Council wide and precinct specific analysis and recommendation for all public realm issues and spaces for the 10 year vision.
