Shibagaki and Ng Residence

A unique fusion between architecture and landscape, here the design intent is to blur the line between internal and external space. Floor surfaces extend from inside the home out into the garden spaces. A series of microclimates govern plant selection. All species are drought tolerant and hardy once established. Water is recycled from the roof and stored in a concealed tank at the front of the property. Landscape materials are ‘true materials’, a robust and simple palette, durable and that minimise the need for complex maintenance regimes.
