In 2009 the Hawthorn Football Club installed an innovative rainwater recycling system. ASPECT Studios was engaged to provide an animated process diagram for their press conference and television launch.

Within two days, ASPECT Studios designed, modelled and rendered a 2D animated diagram at both broadcast and web-friendly quality. Through keeping to a stylised 2D form, an easily understood and simple animation was delivered.

The flow of the water orchestrates the audience experience, from rainwater capture to the irrigation of Waverley Park oval, and highlights the community benefits of helping sustain the lake in the adjacent residential development. Hawthorn Football Club will now use 90 per cent of the rainwater which previously piped directly to drains as runoff.
